Pastels? Yay or Nay

Ok so trend report on pastels? Are we feeling that? I dont have anything in my closet that i can think of that is pastel havnt seen pastels since easter. I am loving Solange's afro though and the yellow is pretty.

July Birchbox

Here is the birchbox contents for the month of July. Birchbox partnered with Cynthia Rowley and put some of her favorite items inside as well as you can see from the pic the outside packaging is different. I must say i was not at all impressed with this months box but hey every month isnt x-mas right. Its all bout trying new items and discovering new brands, so onto the pics.

These are the items that I managed to get from this collection. When I first saw pics of the items I thought I would want much more but that died down over time.

Here we have golden gaze mes this e/s is gorgoeus its a dirty gold color. I got the 128 brush I was going to get another blush brush anyway and the 234 blending brush. I like the different sides of the brush its different and I was able to use the 128 with cream blush on one side and an msf on the other.

June Birchbox

So i know i am super late in posting this months birchbox but i was away. What can i say. LOL

Black barbie turned 30?

Who knew that black barbie was this old?  She is just like myself we are some snazzy divas in our 30's. lol. I know most of us grew up playing with barbie dolls and to see that after 3 decades the african american barbie was spotlighted is great.  I found this article with videos and pics of black barbie and different timelines that i thought was interesting if anyone was interested.
